6mm Sequin Yarn — Home Textile

The 6mm is a furnishing yarn. At this size the disc is too large to sit comfortably in most garment knitting, but for cushions, throws and curtain trims it does exactly what it should.

We run it on a 210D nylon base. Nylon has better abrasion resistance than polyester, which matters on a product that gets sat on. The matte finish is deliberate for the same reason — a glossy 6mm disc on a sofa cushion reads cheap under artificial light.

Minimum order on this quality is 50 kg rather than 25 kg. The larger disc needs a machine changeover, so short runs are not economic for either of us. Shade range is narrower too, mostly neutrals and antique metallics, because that is what furnishing buyers ask for. If you need a bright in 6mm we can make it, but expect a longer lead time and a higher minimum.
