4mm Sequin Yarn — Viscose Base

Same construction as our polyester qualities, but on a 120D viscose base. Viscose is softer and heavier in the hand than polyester, so the finished fabric falls rather than stands. For dresses and anything with drape, that difference is the whole point.

The 4mm disc is a step up in visual weight from the 3mm. It reads from across a room, which is what occasion wear buyers are usually after. At 190 sequins to the metre the discs overlap slightly when the yarn relaxes, giving a fuller line without needing a denser feed.

Two things to know before you order. Viscose has less abrasion resistance than polyester, so it is not the right choice for a garment that will take hard wear. And it takes up moisture, which means we keep it in sealed packing and you should too — a cone left open in a humid godown will not run as well as it should.
