3mm Sequin Yarn — Polyester Base

This is the quality most buyers start with. A 3mm glossy PVC disc on a 150D polyester base, bound with a matching polyester binder. It is the size that reads clearly on a garment without catching in the needle bed, which is why it moves in the highest volume for us.

At roughly 240 sequins to the metre the coverage is even but not solid — you still see the base yarn between discs, which is what most knitwear buyers want for a jacquard or a placement panel. If you need denser coverage we can drop the feed pitch, but say so at order stage because it changes the yield per kilo and therefore your costing.

The polyester base takes the disc well and does not shed under normal knitting tension. It runs on flat knitting machines from about 5 gauge to 12 gauge, and hand-flat units have no trouble with it at all. For circular knitting, send us your gauge and we will tell you honestly whether this quality will run before you commit to an order.
